Software UI Architect (only Poland)

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking an experienced UI Architect to join our high-performing team developing cloud-based solutions for the retail industry. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of innovative and user-friendly UI/UX solutions that power retail applications. As a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and development teams to create intuitive, engaging, and scalable user interfaces for web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in front-end architecture, design systems, and modern UI technologies, with a passion for delivering seamless customer experiences at scale

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead UI/UX Architecture Design: Own the architectural design and development of front-end systems for cloud-based retail solutions, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices (desktop, mobile, tablet) and platforms.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and back-end developers to create a unified approach to user interface design that aligns with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Establish Design Systems: Develop and maintain a consistent design system, ensuring that reusable components and design patterns are shared across teams to drive efficiency and consistency in the user interface.
• Guide Front-End Development: Provide technical leadership and direction to front-end developers, establishing best practices for building high-performance, maintainable, and scalable UI solutions.
• Prototype and Experiment: Develop prototypes and conduct experiments to test new UI concepts and innovations. Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing.
• Ensure Performance and Accessibility: Ensure that the UI is highly performant, accessible, and responsive, providing a flawless experience to users regardless of device or connection quality.
• Stay Ahead of UI/UX Trends: Keep up to date with the latest UI/UX design trends, tools, and technologies, incorporating relevant innovations to continuously improve user experiences in retail applications.
• Advocate for User-Centered Design: Champion the needs of users throughout the development process, advocating for intuitive designs that enhance the customer experience and align with business goals.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 10+ years professional experience in software development.
• Ability to convert technical specifications from the design team or third party vendors into software implementation.
• Experience with high availability configurations for web architectures
• In-depth understanding of Front-End Technologies: Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular.
• UI Architecture: Experience in designing modular, maintainable, and scalable front-end architectures, including component libraries and design systems.
• Responsive Design: Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design techniques, ensuring a seamless experience across various screen sizes and devices.
• Performance Optimization: Familiarity with performance best practices, including lazy loading, code splitting, and optimizing front-end assets for fast loading times.
• Version Control and CI/CD: Experience with Git, version control workflows, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines for front-end development.
• Accessibility: Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and the ability to implement solutions that are accessible to all users
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
• Knowledge of software development concepts/methodology/life cycle, especially Agile methodology
